I am totally appalled by the actions of police Officer Robert Powell! How can ANY police department in the United States of America allow such arrogant behavior by one who is supposed to be assisting citizens? This is not only an embarrassment for the fine city of Dallas, but the state of Texas and, with the availability of the Internet, the whole PLANET!

The fact that your Police Chief David Kunkle apologized to the family of Ryan Moats is totally insufficient! It is a disgrace that Officer Robert Powell was placed on PAID administrative leave. He gets a paid vacation for being inhuman! That is a total outrage to justice, compassion, family values, the city of Dallas, the state of Texas and an affront to the United States of America! I think Officer Robert Powell should be demoted to a janitor at minimum wages.

I am sure there are many others in this country and beyond who are sharing my opinions, but they are not motivated to express their true feelings. I feel I am NOT alone concerning this issue.

Something must sincerely be presented to the public by someone in REAL authority to address this most regretful and embarrassing situation. Maybe additional education to the officers throwing their weight around is needed. Could this be a racial matter??? Hmm … Dallas, Texas … a man of color … a Caucasian officer … would this have happened to a WHITE man?? I seriously doubt it.
