Smokey Robinson was born February 19, 1940. This makes him 69 years old. If you caught him on American Idol last night... you would have noticed that he's doing quite well for being almost 70 years old. He sang great with Joss Stone.

In case you missed it, Smokey Robinson along side Berry Gordy was on American Idol last night. The contestants were singing songs from Motown. The word Motown is derived from the words motor and town also a nickname for Detroit - Motor Town or Motor City.
