Man Swallows Scissors?

A man accidently swallows scissors? How do you accidently swallow scissors? Even though they were small scissors, how do you do that? He was cleaning his teeth with scissors? Why?

    the sad thing is that people have died for swallowing smaller things (like a toothpick)
